Dr. David Kreiner MD, FACOG

Dr. David Kreiner started his REI training in 1980 with Zev Rosenwaks, MD a few short years after the world’s first IVF baby was born. He graduated from SUNY Downstate Medical Center College Of Medicine in 1981. Dr. Kreiner continued his training in REI where he did his fellowship with the Howard and Georgeanna Jones Institute, the pioneers of IVF in the United States, under the directorship of Zev Rosenwaks, MD. Having advanced his professional expertise under the mentorship of the world’s foremost practice during IVF’s formative years, Dr. Kreiner brings a depth of experience and historical perspective shared by few in the field.

In 1988, he helped establish Long Island IVF and became Director. It was here that he produced the first successful births through In Vitro Fertilization, the use of cryopreserved embryos, and the use of donor eggs. In 2002, he established his own practice, East Coast Fertility – Kreiner IVF, and created the innovative and successful Micro IVF program. In 2011, his private practice was merged into Long Island IVF, reuniting the pioneers of in vitro fertilization.

He recieved the Family Building Award from the American Fertility Association and was noted for his pioneering efforts at maximizing success while minimizing risk with IVF.

I was deeply impacted by some of my earliest patients’ experiences with such high-order multiple pregnancies and births. As a husband and father, I strongly believe my role as a physician is to facilitate conception for my patients in the most medically safe and economically efficient way possible.
